While out trolling for new old music for you to hear, I found a great stash of garage-band era girl groups, and I have picked some of the very best ones and sprinkled them liberally throughout today’s show. Some great belting sopranos, some thrilling altos, some revving motorbikes. Check it out. I also found somebody’s collection of strange covers performed by Sheryl Crow’s band on various tours. I say “strange”, but they’re actually just the songs of our youth (Sheryl’s a year younger than I am), Nazareth, Foghat, Ram Jam, Skynyrd. So, there’s some of that. Don’t worry, I’ve spared you the Kid Rock this week.
There’s also a coupla Bowies, lotsa help from Associate DJ Phil, a rare gem from Associate DJ Jim – a tune that was stolen, wholesale, by Jimmy Page, heard here in its original form. Plus some Faith No More doing Sabbath, Slim Shady and Shady Fred Durst doing Loverboy, several KISS quotes from “Phantom of the Park”, and an old Rolling Stones cut, because I’m currently reading Bill Wyman’s *incredibly* detailed autobiography (that also brings on my playing of a Led Zep song that features the Stone’s piano player and road manager, Ian Stewart). Also with Hayseed Dixie and my favorite Dutch recording artist.
Got it?

Thanks a bunch for tuning in. And thanks for your comments – knowing people actually listen in is what makes me try very hard to put on a good, goofy show.
