All thanks to you “Broadway” Danny and Mr. Green (who begins hosting his own show on St. Stupid’s Day?) Very much enjoyed playing your show yesterday. FIrst of all, SORRY I lost it and went off on a jag of “FUCK”s for what was it, five minutes? Probably not that much, but after 40 years in FCC radio, the freedom to say whatever the fuck I wanted was too fucking awesome to pass up muthafucka! All those years seemed to unravel out of me in the face of such freedom!
The “Postmaster General” mentioned on the show was George Jessel, whom Irving Brecher found to be one of the funniest at the Hillcrest Roundtable in LA, back in the day when the comedians had their own table. For more info checkout Irv’s memoir THE WICKED WIT OF THE WEST avail at Amazon.
