Fish Burps episode 30 is happening, people! And you know that I am very series because I addressed everyone as ‘people’ as opposed to the much friendlier, ‘everyone’. I addressed all of you by your species, which to me is very impersonal and I apologize, for the most part. Are we good? Okay, take your time. Forgiveness doesn’t happen over night.
Tonight, Dan & Doug will miss Sara, as she is away on top secret family business, but the boys welcome a good friend of Dan’s and fellow tennis pro, Tommy Flynn. Tommy is a hell of a guy and by that I mean Tommy is a huge asshole. This is part of the reason Dan is so fond of him. What does this say about Dan? Nothing good, he’ll tell you that. Tommy joins Dan & Doug in Studio 2B to discuss white guys with dreadlocks and why their downfall is hopefully eminent, the clash between cultural adherence vs. hyper sensitivity, and on a more serious note: taking milkshakes into bars. Also, Tommy doesn’t like most things, up to and including the music industry. No matter how old you are, if your white, black, other, you have to admit that most modern music sucks sucks goat balls.
The program features humor (hopefully), adult language (definitely), intervals of Dan & Doug loving and/or hating one another, complaining, adult themes, adults discussing TV show theme songs, and Sara rethinking her decision to be a part of this. Listener discretion advised. But, Jeez, I’m not your mom. Live your life.
Two life long friends, Dan & Doug, who can barely stand one another wax moronic about their lives, the world and other pointless endeavors. Doug & Dan almost never agree on anything but one of them is always right. Through their very different lenses they will dissect everything and try to figure out what the hell is going on, as if it matters. There will be lively conversations about many topics (TBA), arguments, tiffs, petty bickering, friendship, special guests, not so special guests, intelligence and stupidity. Plus, pie. As their fan base grows, so will their power and influence. This will ultimately lead to an enormous fight [hopefully] on air about how to use their new found cache of cultural importance. Doug will want to use it to get more beer; Dan will want to use it to find the absolutely best pair of pants for his body type. Have a listen before things go horribly wrong. And, oh yeah, the pie.
