TODAY on Here’s Why That’s Funny on FCC Free Radio – it’s a gray and foggy day in San Francisco, California. Fourth of July might not be until tomorrow, but today is still a perfect day for a few mimosas and grilled hot dogs in the name of America. Or, in the name of whatever. It’s never an imperfect day for mimosas and grilled hot dogs. Happy birthday, America!
Irene Tu is really something special. A Chicago, Illinois native, Irene is one of the Bay Area’s most exceptional comics. She was recently featured on Go Magazine’s “100 Women We Love” and The SFists ““Bay Area’s 11 Best Stand-Up Comedians”. You might know her from co-hosting the smash hit Manhaters Show at the White Horse Inn in Oakland, CA with equally awesome comedian Ash Fisher. If you’re a city-dweller, you know her from hosting other awesome San Francisco shows like Hysteria at Martunis and Millennials Ruin Everything at the El Rio, which she cohosts with Dom Gelin. I would continue telling you about all the awesome things Irene Tu has done, but I don’t think there’s enough space on this blog post, so I’ll just say this – You will really, really enjoy this interview.
